【摘要】:Thisguideisintendedtoprovideaseriesofevaluationsthatwillassistengineersdealingwithchemicalenvironmentsinselectingappropriatealloys(1-3).Inchemicalenvironments,animportantissuefordetermininggeneralcorrosionresistanceisthetemperatureatwhichanalloytransitionsfromcorrosionatalowratetocorrosionatamuchhigherrate.Otherimportantconcernsincludethetendencytowardscrevicecorrosionandstresscorrosioncrackingresistance,especiallyinhotchloride-containingaqueousenvironments.Thisguideisalsointendedforalloydeveloperstoassisttheminchoosingenvironmentsandtestmethodsthatareofparticularinteresttothechemicalprocessindustries.Theuseofthisapproachwillallowdirectcomparisonstobemadeamongalloysfromvarioussuppliersand,thereby,toassistengineersinselectingthemostappropriatematerialsforfurthertestingtodeterminesuitabilityintheirapplication.1.1Thisguidecoversanevaluationapproachthatisdesignedtoprovideinformationonthecorrosionpropertiesofwroughtiron-andnickel-basedalloysforthechemicalprocessindustries.Thisguideincorporatestestconditionsforgeneralcorrosionmeasurementsinavarietyofenvironments,crevicecorrosionresistanceinchlorideenvironments,andstresscorrosioncrackingresistanceinchlorideenvironments.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
