【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversproceduresfordeterminingthepermeabilityofthermoplasticcontainerstopackagedreagentsorproprietaryproductsunderspecifiedconditionsofexposure.Theexposuresusedareintendedtosimulatethenormalandelevatedtemperature-storageconditionsthatmightbeencounteredinend-useapplication.Thistestmethodisapplicableonlytothosetypesofcontainersdesignedtoallowpositive,leakproofclosure.Twoproceduresareprovided:ProcedureAisspecifictotestingonlywithastandarddesigncontainer.Thisprocedureprovidesfordeterminationsofrateofweightloss(orgain)andforcalculationofapermeabilityfactor.ProcedureBappliestotestsofallothercontainerdesigns.Permeabilitydatabythisprocedureareexpressedonlyintermsofrateofweightloss(orgain)fortheparticularcontainertested.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Note1-ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOStandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
