【摘要】:Densityisanimportantpropertyofagasketmaterial,sinceithasaninverserelationshiptothevoidvolumeofthematerial.Densityisoftenusedinaspecification,sincerelationshipstosealability,compressibility,creeprelaxation,andtensilestrengthcanbefoundforagivengasketgrade.Densityisameasurementofthemasstothevolumeratioandthereforeeasilydeterminedwithaweightscaleandthicknessmeasuringdevice.Thistestmethodrequiresfrom1htotwodaysofsampleconditioning,whichisnecessarytoachieveahighlevelofprecision,butwhichdetractsfromitsusefulnessasaproductiontestmethod.Whereitmustbemodifiedformanufacturingcontrol,itisrecommendedthatthicknessandweightmeasurementmethodsbeadheredtostrictly.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingthedensityofagasketmaterial.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
